FISHING

Anglers will be keen to test their skills at Prestons Lake  which is just a half mile from Pebmarsh.  Access by car is signposted of the White Colne Rd.  Walkers can access it via numerous footpaths from the village centre.  Membership of the Colchester Angling Preservation Society  is required along with the usual fishing licence.  The smaller Pebmarsh Lake  is accessible by car via Water Lane which begins opposite the King’s Head Pub in the village centre.

GOLF

Pubmarsh Golf  Society, yes it is Pubmarsh, hold regular golfing days at numerous golf clubs in the area.  Usually leaving Pebmarsh on Friday morning and returning to The King’s Head, Pebmarsh for dinner in the evening where partners can join in the golfing banter of the day.  Please contact Garry Storar on 01787 269625 for further details or simply put your name down on the noticeboard at The King’s Head.  All abilities welcome!.
